DEFINITION:  An injury occurring on a job site is referred to as a workplace injury.

Workplace injuries range from physical trauma to psychological trauma. An injured employee can suffer brain damage and other traumatic brain injuries, paralysis from spinal cord injuries, amputations, hearing loss, loss of vision, broken and or fractured bones, sprains, strains, burns, cuts and deep gashes. Due to their injuries, employees who are injured on the job may have post-traumatic stress disorder, psychiatric conditions such as anxiety or depression, and even eating disorders.
